My daughter has confirmed my worst fears about kids and technology...
i.e.' give 'em a Nintendo DS and they turn into an antisocial MONSTER!!'. Yes, I know it wasn't a Nintendo DS, just my laptop and one of those free retro 2D platform-style games that any idiot could download and play, but by God, we saw four seasons of Miss Stroppy-Pants in one day with that alone. Re-considering my intention for a Wii - maybe I should just buy some skipping ropes and Theolonius Monk CDs to exercise mind and body at the same time...
Thank goodness Ho-Tep was there for some Mummy-baby loving to remind me I'm not obsolete in ONE of my children's' eyes.
Mums and Sons - I was having this conversation with one of my multi-syblinged friends the other week - it's a special relationship... isn't it? isn't it??? Maybe because it's so fleeting... you know, that precious few years before they become 'MEN'! *wistful sigh*

i love the posts with your children, they are beautiful, and so are you!!
god, how I MISS my little boys.
It's almost like a death.. that probably sounds melodramatic.. but it is. I want to turn back time. I LOVE them now of course, but I just miss the little boys they were.. so freaken sad.
Yup and yup, to Virginia and Melody. Great pics, DJ, as always. I love the look of concentration! And Ho-Tepp will probably still want to snuggle when he's grown up. My boy does (and my girl)!
Aw, thanks Virginia!
Melody - this is exactly what I'm anticipating - I saw how my brother turned from a happy-go-lucky affectionate little boy to a monosyllabic teenager who gave hugs on high days and holidays! So sad!!
Penny - I'm hoping that it won't happen - you know the saying - hope for the best, expect the worse!!
I must admit, sitting there with a laptop can be both addictive and unhealthy at times! Gotta stretch and look at the world once in awhile... especially to give mom a little love! :)
DJ Karma - laptops are especially addictive cos they're so small and portable! I can lose hours quite easily... (-_o)
DJ - your hair looks GORGEOUS!
Treehugger - so does your headshot!!!!
Magic moving pictures? Oooh WOW ! Even in a pub when I can't hear the sound I become entranced so the TV and laptop in the house suck me in. Its a bit like Poltergeist really. Only offers of food or cups of tea filter through to my consciousness. xx
